Our Director:
Hello families and professionals my name is Danielle Zimmerman. I am the founder and operating director of Zimmerman School House. I have stumbled upon this adventure through my daughter, Abigail. I originally majored in the healthcare profession and taught preschool and high school science before becoming a mom. Just like any parent, children transform your life, however with Abigail it changed more than I could have expected. My daughter was born with a rare genetic abnormality, which lead us to many hospital stays, doctors’ appointments, and aggressive therapies. Not to mention an education of a lifetime. In 2002 I started home schooling my daughter and created a home gym for therapy to help rehabilitate her. Now after years of training, hands on experience, as well as more education I am pleased to help other children and families reach their goals and potentials. The one thing that I have learned is that you cannot do it by yourself. It does take the collaboration of teachers, therapists, and parents to make a difference in our children’s life.
